His work has been shown in New York, Milan, London, Seoul, and Tokyo. His career highlight has been working for Banana Republic with legendary US retailer Jim Brett, the former President of West Elm. He has developed 150 unique designs for the brand sampling these pieces in India where he managed the furniture design portfolio, line planning and factory relationships.

He has cultivated an interdisciplinary approach to his craft and a wide-ranging portfolio of work from retail installations to interiors and unique piece of furniture.”

Damian has worked on the design and development end of the Retail Home Furnishings field for the past 23 years primarily focused on the Furniture, Lighting, Hardware and Upholstery categories. His strength in the ability to conceptually break down a situation into parts and understand those parts is important in the design process and leads to a successful end solution. During the design/development process, he enjoys the ideation aspect as well as collaborating with merchant teams, global sourcing teams, engineers and manufacturers. He has developed a strong skill set in analysing and refining proportions and details.

He was Vice President of Product Development at Pottery Barn for 12 years where he delivered hundreds of new products four seasons a year, from initial concept to manufacturable end product.
Prior to Pottery Barn, he was Senior Designer at Restoration Hardware.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Design from Cal State Long Beach and grew up and currently live in Marin County.

Tahir Sultan is an all-encompassing, Lifestyle brand that continuously looks to bridge and re-interpret the design gap between the East and the West. It is contemporary, sophisticated, ethical and Sustainable.

The Designers unique Kuwaiti and Indian lineage gives him a deep understanding of different cultures and their rare heritage, which can be seen in his work. His exposure to fashion, arts, architecture and design has stirred his passion for pushing the boundaries of style, form and function. After a stint at the architectural association he graduated from Central Saint Martins. Where he interned with John Galliano and Alexander McQueen, before launching his own eponymous label in 2008. His talent was swiftly spotted, earning him accolades in the global press. He was the first Kuwaiti Designer to be invited to showcase at London Fashion Week in 2012. Thereafter he has shown at several other Fashion Weeks including FFWD in Dubai, as well as Jakarta Fashion Week. His art and lifestyle division of his company has seen him work with leading brands such as The Indian Art fair. D3, Ajmal, Puma, Sothebys, Porsche, Contemporary Istanbul, Good Earth, Sunita Shekhawat, Dhun, Obetee carpets and many more

The Brand runs and trains various women’s empowerment programs across India. The products created by these women are incorporated into his design projects. The designers innovative approach dissects, re-interprets and push’s the boundaries of craft to bring it up to an international level, while affording the women he works with regular income and independence. His large-scale high profile, Art installations like the Embroidered pavilion which took 35000 hours to make and was commissioned for Sheikh Mohammed Al Makhtoum in Dubai , was created using 750 artisans across various villages in India and was sighted as the first in its kind marring technology and re interpreted traditional embroidery.

His many achievements include the launch of the csr program for the W Hotels in the Maldives, as well as working with the Princess Diya Kumari foundation. Various Projects with the world bank, I love Jaisalmer and Cequin. He is currently setting up a fellowship to adopt 16 refugee families, provide them free housing afford the parents jobs within their fields of expertise, and educate their children all the way through college.

The Brand has designed Uniforms for Hotels and restaurants which include the W Maldives, Manzil Hotel in Dubai, The Maine Oyster Bar and Grill, Larte café and many more.

His interiors have been featured in Architectural Digest, Vogue and Hello Magazine, with his store Makaan supplying an endless list of famous key national and international designers with unique pieces for their projects. His interior design is not limited to residential projects, he has designed , stores, gallery space and hotels in both India and the Gulf.

Tahir Sultan Food a cult Levantine, Gulf , Persian catering brand that was set up during the Pandemic has been pushing the boundaries of how food, culture , design and marketing come together. Seamlessly tying together all his various skills to create an explosion of creativity which has helped set both his work and innovative aesthetic sense apart.
